The O'Brien's are enjoying a wonderful winter Family Day. Thank goodness we had the extra day off, or else this weekend would've flown by.
We've had a busy weekend. Saturday, we spent the afternoon in Waterloo visiting the Carter family - including Aunt B all the way from BC. Avery made fast friend's with Cousin Riley; Avery was quite impressed with Riley's Tetris abilities.
Sunday was Valentine's Day - and Avery was so romantic and gave us kisses all morning. However, I really wish he would've waited until after 5am to do it. We went to Ikea during the afternoon to get some things for Av's soon to be brother. Avery had a ton of fun running around the place - NOT holding on to our hands. He sure loves testing us. We still treated him to an expensive lunch out - $0.50 hot dogs. You just can't go wrong at that price!
Today we went out for coffee and a walk in the morning to our favourite Roncy shop - Cherry Bomb. I was so surprised it was open, as Roncy was a dead zone. We came back home to do a little tidying and Pat was courteous enough to entertain Avery outside so I could wash the floors. We finally have enough snow to test out our sled. Avery loved it and was quite sad when we made him come inside.
In fact, Avery loves snow in general. He enjoys helping us shovel and constantly brings us his coat or boots when he wants to go outside. Apparently, this is how I was when I was little. So, really, I can't say a thing.
I think our Avery is hinting at something right now - as he has his jacket and mittens in his hands. Look likes it's time for another walk. Happy Family Day everyone!
